This standout design, handpicked by our staff panel, celebrates the spirit of local journalism and the vibrant heart of the Inland Northwest.

I am a fifth grader at Gethsemane Lutheran School in Spokane Valley. I have three older siblings, and I play the tenor saxophone and piano. I love dogs and especially puppies, which is why I drew a puppy for my art. I also like basketball (and playing outside in general) and robotics.
