🧪 Lori Buratto & Students
Lori Buratto has been a science teacher in the CV school district for 28 years. For the last 10, she has taught at Spokane Valley Tech, which emphasizes career readiness and the engineering design process. Lori grew up in Spokane, and read the newspaper at the breakfast table every morning. Throughout her career, she has emphasized the media literacy and importance of local journalism by having students read the paper, discuss and debate local issues and occasionally contribute Letters to the Editor. Lori considers herself a consumer of art, rather than a producer, but does value the impact of aesthetic design. The classes participating in the art competition were Advanced Biomedical Science and Environmental Engineering.
